OAKS CORNERS– Nathan H. Oaks age 79, died on Saturday (December 30, 2017) at Newark Wayne Hospital.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday (January 5, 2018) 11 a.m. at the United Church of Phelps with Rev. Adrian Tierson officiating.
It is requested that memorial donations be made to Oaks Corners Fire Department PO Box 54 Oaks Corners, NY 14518.
Nathan was born on April 30, 1938 in Geneva, N.Y. the son of the late Nathan and Mabel Cook Oaks and has lived his entire life in Oaks Corners. He was a member of the Phelps Central School class of 1956 and graduated from Morrisville State College and RIT. Nathan was retired from G.W. Lisk in Clifton Springs where he worked as an Engineer for 35 years. He also belonged to the Lakeshore Model A Ford Club of Rochester, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Burns Oaks of Oaks Corners; three children Jeffrey (Rossella) Oaks of Ind., Kimberly (William) Holmes of Conn., Kathleen (Christoph) Menn of Switzerland; and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, Susan Szabo.
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
