Kenneth R. Bremer
PHELPS/ROCHESTER – Kenneth R. Bremer, age 35, died on Tuesday (June 27, 2017) at Rochester General Hospital
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday (June 30) at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street, Phelps. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday (July 1) at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lynn Spence officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Phelps.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations in Kenneth’s memory be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Road Mendon, NY 14506.
Kenneth was born on December 18, 1981 in Geneva, N.Y., the son of Richard Bremer and Pamela McCarrick. He attended Camp Good Days and Special Times since he was 7 and later became a counselor. He was an advocate for the camp and was very involved in the Kazoo Fund Raiser. Kenneth had a incredible drive for life and never let his disabilities become obstacles he could not overcome. He achieved 2 Bachelors Degree’s in Social Work and Criminal Justice. He worked at the Clifton Springs
Nursing Home. He was an avid NASCAR fan and has met with most of the drivers. He was also a very avid reader and loved music. Kenneth was truly an inspiration and roll model for us all to follow.
He is survived by his mother, Pam (Brian DeCann) McCarrick of Ferguson, N.C.; father, Richard “Butch” (Ann) Bremer of Phelps; special friend, Jenaya Smith of Rochester; maternal grandmother, Marie Lohman of Clifton Springs;
many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Bremer.
