Arvilla E. Wilson

Arvilla E. Wilson age 76, died on Saturday (December 24, 2022) at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.

Friends may call on Thursday (December 29) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. Funeral services will be held on Friday (December 30) 10 a.m. at the United Church of Phelps. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

It is requested that donations in memory of Arvilla be made to the United Church of Phelps 58 Main Street Phelps N.Y. 14532.

Arvilla was born on July 3, 1946 in Elmira, N.Y. the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary Simms Friends. She was a member of the United Church of Phelps, where she volunteered making crafts and made many crosses and ornaments for the church. Arvilla loved oil painting and was an avid Post Card collector with over 10,000 Post Cards. She was a Tupperware Sales Woman for many years. Arvilla spent many years advocating for her daughter Corinna at the Finger Lakes DDSO.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years David Wilson Sr. of Phelps; two sons, David (Tanya) Wilson Jr. of Virginia Beach Va., Mark (Rosemary) Wilson of Cornelius, N.C.; two brothers, Henry Friends of Elmira, Donald (Denise ) Friends of Willseyville, N.Y.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Corinna Wilson.
