Clarence "Bootsie" D. Young III Obituary (1948

Phelps, Clarence D "Bootsie: Young III, age 75, died on Monday March 11, 2024, at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call on Saturday, March 16 2024, from 10am-12pm at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street, Phelps. A celebration of life will be held immediately following calling hours at the funeral home, at the Phelps American Legion, 1346 State Route 96, Phelps. It is requested that memorial donations in memory of Bootsie to the Phelps American Legion, 1346 State Route 96, Phelps NY 14532. Bootsie was born on November 28, 1948 in Geneva, NY, the son of the late Clarence R. and Frances Schedel Young. Bootsie worked along side his father at their business, B and B Contractors, working as contractors doing windows, siding and roofing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and always looked forward to hunting at his camp in Alfred. He also enjoyed camping with this family and going on family vacations. Bootsie loved buying and building dirtbikes for his 5 sons, and watching them race. Most important to Bootsie was his family.
