Elfleda Powell

Phelps, Elfleda "Elfie" Powell, age 76, died on Sunday May 7, 2023 at the Laurel House Comfort Care Home in Newark.

There will be no prior calling hours or service.

Elfie was born on June 23, 1946 in Clifton Springs, NY the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Richards Morse.
She retired from the Pathology Department at Geneva General Hospital. Elfie enjoyed riding and driving horses and competed in Marathon horse driving competitions. She loved the outdoors and camping in the woods. Elfie had a passion for antiquing and loved cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years Barry Powell of Phelps

Sister Alma Claiborne of Melbourne Australia

She was predeceased by her daughter Megan DeCook, Sister Ruth Randall, nephew Ovid "Randy" Randall Jr., and niece Sarah Claiborne.
