Everett Boyd Henecke Jr.

Everett Boyd Henecke Jr., age 91, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at home, with his beloved wife of 69 years by his side.

Friends may call on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 10am-12pm at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street, Phelps NY 14532. A funeral service will follow at Noon. Burial will be in Orleans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Everett, may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 PreEmption Road, Geneva NY 14456.

Everett was born on December 22, 1931, the son of the late Everett Boyd Henecke Sr. and Bertha May Paddock Henecke. In 1953, Everett married his wife LeEtta Mae Craig. Everett served in the National Guard for 9 years, during the time of the Korean War. Following his service in 1956, Everett took over the family farm. He had a passion for gardening and loved tending to the flowers. After retiring on the same day as his wife LeEtta from the NYS Experimental Station in Geneva, they enjoyed spending their retirement traveling. At the end of the day, the most important thing to Everett was his family.

Everett was predeceased by his brothers Henry James and Tim Leslie Henecke

Everett's family would like to extend a special thank you to the home health aids that have taken such wonderful care of him over the last year, as well as Ontario-Yates hospice for all they have done for Everett over the last several months.
