Harlan Owen

Harlan Owen age 85, passed away on Thursday December 18, 2025 at Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call on Saturday January 3, 2026 from 10am-Noon at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Military Honors. Harlans sister Bev Owen officiating.

Harlan was born on February 16, 1940 in Greece, NY the son of the late Lyle Sanford Owen and Elizabeth Small Owen.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1963-1965. Harlan worked at Gleason Works and Goulds Pumps.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
Harlan enjoyed metal detecting and watching boxing, NASCAR and Football. He always loved the outdoors and enjoyed many experiences in his later years with hunting and fishing buddy, Ray Brittingham. Harlan had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke.
Most important to Harlan was his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Aileen Owen of Penn Yan
