Howard L. Young

Phelps, Howard L. Young, age 78, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Pathway Home in Seneca Falls, with his family by his side.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Friday, August 29 from 2-6pm at the Phelps American Legion, 1346 State Rt. 96 Phelps NY 14532.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Howard may be made to Pathway Home, P.O Box 516, Seneca Falls NY 13148.

Howard was born on March 31, 1947 in Lyons, NY, the son of the late Clarence and Frances Schedel Young. After high school, Howard enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was proud of the time he spent serving our Country. Howard was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing rugby for the Finger Lakes Vikings Rugby team. He was an avid Green Bay Packers football fan. Most important to Howard was his family.

Howard is survived by his 3 sons, Curtis (Megan) Young of Geneva
Zach (Vicki) Young of Clifton Springs
Brock (Sarah) Young of Auburn
Grandchildren Seth, Madison "Mad Dog", Callie, Troy, Kennedy and Aerys
Sister Linda (Jerry) Pollot
Many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Howard was predeceased by his wife, Esther, daughters Melissa and Daphne and brother Bootsie
