James C. Henecke

Phelps, James C. Henecke age 60, died unexpectedly on Saturday April 13, 2024 at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.

Friends are invited to call on Friday (April 19) from 2-4pm at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A memorial service will follow at 4pm at the funeral home.

It is requested that memorial contributions be made in memory of Jim to the Phelps Fire Department Inc. PO Box 81 Phelps, NY 14532.

Jim was born on September 27, 1963 in Geneva, NY the son of the late Everett Boyd and LeEtta Mae Craig Henecke Jr.
He was a graduate of Midlakes High School Class of 1981 and received his Bachelor's Degree from University of Wisconsin-Platteville
Jim was very friendly and out going and could have a conversation with anyone. Jim loved his "Crafty's family" and playing Euchre there.
He would often come home and keep his son Brandon up to date with all the news from Crafty's.
Recently, Jim has enjoyed watching WWII documentaries and appreciated the history of that Era.
He was always a farmer at heart right until the end. He was just sharing with his son everything he wanted to get planted this season.
The most important person in Jim's life was his son Brandon whom he has raised by himself.
