James Ireland

James F. Ireland, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 2-5pm at the Marbletown Fire Hall, 6416 Silver Hill Road, Newark NY 14513.

It is requested the memorial contributions be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons NY 14489.

Jim was born on March 21, 1966, in Geneva, NY, the son of the late Frederick and Eva (Boutell) Ireland. Jim loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. He loved watching the boats go by on the canal and could often be found listening to and watching the birds. Jim also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid animal lover. Above all, what meant the most to Jim was the time he spent with his daughter and grandson, who brought him great joy and happiness.
