Jack was born on December 17, 1953 in Newark, NY the son of the late Dennis and Mary Devereaux Hicks. He retired from Valve Tech in Production Control. Jack loved sports especially The Cleveland Browns, New York Yankees and Syracuse. He had a true passion for horses and horse racing. He was a statistical genius, spending many hours running statistics for horses history in racing, and football. Jack had a race horse named after him and his close friend Bernie, whose name is Jak N Burny. He enjoyed playing golf and spent many years with his wife BJ, playing softball and traveling all over, even to Canada to play in Softball Tournaments. Jack loved to garden and cook. He enjoyed grilling and was a master at making a variety of soups. He loved being at Sodus Bay at the family cottage and cooking for all of the family. Jack also enjoyed going to Casinos. He was also a lover of animals, especially his cats. To say music was a big part of Jack's life would be an understatement. He loved his music, especially the 60's, 70's and 80's and it was very rare that anyone was better at music trivia than Jack.
