Joseph D. Crowley

Joseph Daniel Crowley (Joe), 68, of Clifton Springs, NY, passed away on November 22, 2023 at URMC's Strong Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Nov. 28) 10:30am at Saint Felix Catholic Church in Clifton Springs, NY. Father Anthony Amato will officate. Private burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

Joe was born in Wellsboro, PA to the late Thomas and Mary Agnes Crowley on February 18th, 1955. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Eileen, his son Dan.
7 siblings: Thomas (Bronwyn) Crowley Jr , Mary Anne (Fran) Corcoran, Steve Crowley, Peggy (Joe) Buzako, Patrick Crowley, Eileen (Dave) Crowley Price, Martha Crowley, Sister in law Donna Crowley; In-laws: Nancy (Ronald) Wagner, Mary Lou (Jay) Williams, Kelly Hamula, Dan Cusick, and many nieces and nephews. Joe is predeceased by his brother Robert Crowley and his brother-in-law John Hamula.

Joe grew up in Big Flats, NY. He graduated from Horseheads High School, class of 1972. In 1976 Joe met his wife, Eileen, while studying at St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Elmira, NY. After completing nursing school Joe and Eileen lived in Annapolis, Maryland and Kent Island, Maryland for 11 years. In 1991, they relocated to their current residence in Clifton Springs, NY. Joe retired from nursing in 2015 completing a 35 year career as a Registered Nurse. As an outdoorsman, Joe loved fishing, most often on the Finger Lakes or the trout streams of the Catskill Mountains. Above all, Joe valued time with friends and family, always looking forward to the next fishing trip, vacation to Seneca Lake, or Bills vs Dolphins game to enjoy with the ones he loved. He was known to give friends and family the welcomed advice, "Have fun and laugh a lot."
