Robert A. Lahr

Robert A. Lahr age 80, passed away December 20, 2022 with his family by his side.

Friends may call on Tuesday (December 27) from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

It is requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Wayne County Humane Society 1475 County House Road, Newark N.Y. 14513
Bob was born on May 1, 1942 in Seneca Falls, N.Y. the son of the late Robert and Marie White Lahr. Bob attended Geneva High School. He later worked for Finger Lakes Laundry and then UPS. He began his career as a delivery driver for UPS in 1966 and retired with 31 years of service. Bob was a member of Geneva Nester Hose Fire Dept. He loved fishing and spending time with his family at Seneca Lake. After retirement he spent a lot of time with his grandchildren, Derek and Paige. And he especially enjoyed attending their swim meets and softball games.

Bob is survived by his best friend Ruth Lahr; daughters Kim Lahr Blake, Michele Lahr and Heidi (Billy) Poormon. Also his sons, Robert M. (Donna) Lahr and Michael (Soo) Bogart. Grandchildren Timothy (Danielle) Thompson Jr., Kelly (Tim) Conlon, Brittany Mitchell and Nicholas Mitchell, Kali Struble, Derek and Paige Burbridge, and Thomas Corsner. Great-grandchildren Tyler and Madeleine Conlon, Megan and Abigail Thompson and Chevelle Geer. Brothers Walter (Mary Lou) Lahr, Kevin (Sue) Chilbert and Jim Chilbert. Several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, Francis Lahr.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wayne County Humane Society in Lyons, N.Y.
