Shirley A. Ford

Shirley Ann Ford, age 80, passed away on Friday December 15, 2023 at the House of John in Clifton Springs.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday December 21, 10am at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations in memory of Shirley be made to the House of John 14 Spring Street Clifton Springs, NY 14432 or Ontario County Humane Society 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Shirley was born August 1, 1943 in Honeoye Falls, NY the daughter of the late Ted and Barb Yorks Ford.
She was a graduate of Honeoye Falls Central School in 1961 and SUNY Geneseo in 1965.

Most of her career was spent teaching elementary school. She taught in Webster NY, Caracas, Venezuela and Morrisville, NY.
Shirley loved music, dogs (beloved beagle Whisper), baseball and tennis. She was a person of great faith and treasured her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Bev (Brian) Cerow of Penn Yan, NY
Niece Abby (Miles) DeCastro of Potsdam, NY
Nephew Ben Cerow of Penn Yan, NY
Sister in law Peggy (Bud) Ford of Bath, NY
Nephew Tim (Heather) Ford of North Carolina
Great-nephew Samuel Ford of North Carolina
Aunt Millie Hayton of Canandaigua, NY
Aunt Barb and Uncle Ronnie Yorks of Honeoye Falls
Many cousins and friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her brother Bud Ford and nephew Dan Ford.
