Todd Brown

Todd LM Brown, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Clifton Springs Hospital.

Friends may call on Saturday (February 28) from 11am-Noon at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street, Phelps. A funeral service will follow at Noon at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Overacker’s Cemetery in Middlesex.

It is requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Todd be made to the Shortsville American Legion, 1513 Palmyra Street, Shortsville NY 14548, or to the Canandaigua VFW, 93 S. Main Street, Canandaigua NY 14424.

Todd was born on February 5, 1967 in Canandaigua, NY, the son of the late Lawrence and Beverly Brown. After graduating high school, Todd enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served for 4 years. Todd loved going to the Shortsville American Legion and the Canandaigua VFW and visiting with friends and fellow Veterans. He had a very charismatic personality and could make friends anywhere he went. He was known for his story telling and practical jokes. Todd enjoyed hunting, fishing and going camping with his family. He loved stargazing with his daughters and enjoyed all things astronomy. Lawrence Welk was one of Todd’s favorite musicians, so next time you see a rerun of The Lawrence Welk Show, think of Todd.
