Kathy J. (Blackburn) Erbelding, born May 13, 1956 in Fulton NY, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2020 in Elizabethtown KY. She will be remembered as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. One of the things she will be most remembered for is her love of Camp Onseyawa. It became one of the most important parts of her life, first as a camper and then as a counselor working with disabled children. She was a graduate of Midlakes High school and attended SUNY Brockport thereafter, receiving a bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude. Kathy was born partially blind eventually becoming completely blind, she never let that stop her from enjoying life. Some of the things that she loved were her dog Opie, books on tape, crocheting and of course, her grandson Blake. She is survived by her son, Eric Erbelding of New York, grandson, Blake Erbelding of New York, father, Harlow E. Blackburn Sr. (Kathy) of New York, siblings, Lorrie VanGelder (Bruce) of New York, Harlow E. Blackburn Jr. of Maryland, Melinda Dennis (Jim) of Michigan, Michael Blackburn of Virginia, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Patsy Blackburn and her grandparents, Virgil Dorgan, Edra Dorgan, James Blackburn and Jessie Blackburn. lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Kathy to Camp Onseyaw C/O Mark Whyse 1974 Kenyon Road Ontario, NY 14519.
