Obituary of Elizabeth R Donnelly

Phelps/Newark Elizabeth R. Donnelly age 90 died peacefully at home on Wednesday May 2, 2018

Friends may call on Friday (May 4) from 4-6pm at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday (May 5) 10:30am at St. Francis Church in Phelps. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

It is requested that memorial donations be made to St. Peter’s Parish 12 Hibbard Avenue Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Mrs. Donnelly was born on October 6, 1927 in Barre Vermont, the daughter of the late William and Grace Bacheller Reilly. She was an active member of St. Francis Church and a long standing member the Rosary and Altar Society. She volunteered for the church visiting the sick and home bound throughout the area. She was a Lab Technician in Vermont prior to meeting her husband Robert and marrying in 1961. Mrs. Donnelly enjoyed golfing, cross country and down hill skiing which is where she met her future husband while on the slopes in Vermont. She moved to Phelps and worked with her husband on the family farm until his passing in 2004. Mrs. Donnelly was also  a caregiver and retired from the Newark State School.

She is survived by her Son Brian (Gina) Donnelly of Newark

Daughter Kathy (Brad) Jacobs of Canandaigua

Grandchildren Peter Donnelly, Mitchell, Evelyn and Benjamin Jacobs.
