Obituary of Dorothy Amidon
OAKS CORNERS– Dorothy L. “Buddy” Amidon, age 54, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday (September 12, 2018).
There will be no prior calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday (October 13, 2018) at 12 Noon at the Phelps American Legion.

Buddy was born on November 2, 1963 in Clifton Springs, N.Y. the daughter of Charles and Carol Jerrett Amidon. She was a member of the Oaks Corners Fire Dept. Color Guard. Buddy loved all sports and was a huge New York Giants fan. She was family oriented and was a wonderful Aunt and Great-Aunt and had many devoted friends.
Buddy is survived by her father, Charles Amidon of Oaks Corners; brother, Keith (Cynthia) Amidon of Waterloo; sisters Lori (James Boeff) Sinack of Geneva, Cathy (Gene) Dillon of Oaks Corners; fiancee, Karl Fritz of Penn Yan; nieces and nephews Randi, Toni, Danny (Ashlei) and Josh; great-nieces Alivia and Alexa; Uncle Harold Lee (Ann) Edington of Phelps; many cousins, extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Carol Amidon; and grandfather, Harold “Si” Edington.
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
